Week 3 Production Log

What have you contributed this week?

In this me and Jasmeet finally finished out shooting script, we ended up on 122 but this was after we showed are teacher. Before this we had 109 shots. Once we were happy in what we did, we showed our teacher, to see what he thought of it, and he told us what we could improve. We when went back to the computers and made these changers. After this I linked our shooting script, onto blogger. We also started with are production schedules, which was a plan on what shot we are going to film on each day. We also started with all of are paper work. This included are Risk assessment, which is now finished, also I printed of are waiver for our cast, which are cast need to fill out to show provides proof that they what to be part of our music video, they still need to sign this form. Also I printed of our call sheets which needs to be filled in each day we film.

How does this fit in with the production schedule/job roles/overall ideas of the project?

This week we just finished making our production schedule, so we did not need to follow a production log for this week. But we are up to date with all the work and have not falling behind on our class deadlines. This week me and Jasmeet sat down and discussed what are job roles will be. We decided that I will be main camera man and editor, due to have more experience that Jasmeet in both areas. Jasmeet will be the main director, due to the actually song be her original song, and she has a clearer and better image of what she wants the music video to look like than I do.

Were there any problems?
This week the only problem we faced what the fact that, after showing our teach out final shooting script, he made us make some changes to it, such as keep the chorus parts of the song either as performance or narrative and not switch from one to another, which we had now done. Also our teacher made us make minor changed to some of our shot types and angles, in order for it to make more sense to the audience. Also another problem we faced was the fact that we still did not know 100% where we were going to film our hotel scenes.

How did you/will you overcome them?
We over came our teachers feed back by making the changes to our shooting scripts, so it fitted in to what our teachers would prefer. And with regards to the hotel situation, we have tried to ring the hotel but we have had no answer. We are still ringing them and if they still don't answer, our teacher said he might be able to use his flat, which looks like a hotel, if the school allow the teacher to had students in his house. If the school say no we will have to go to our last option which is making the school reception our hotel reception, and my mum and dads room the hotel room.

What are the plans for the following week?
Next week we hope to get all of our paper work done, and then on the 11th/12th/13th we hope to start filming and get all of our chores shot done.
