What have you contributed this week?
This week we had finished all the paperwork needed for shooting, and it was all uploaded on our blogs. With the paperwork completed we starting filing on Thursday 12th February we had begun shooting our chorus for our song. We used the schools studio room after school. We were in school till about 6 o'clock and achieve all the footage for the chorus. We then in are next lesson uploaded the footage straight onto Final Cut Express. We wanted to upload as we filmed along so the ideas are still fresh in our minds. It will also make it easier as we will try to edit as we go along as best as we can. This will speed the process up when it comes to the editing so there will be no rushing towards the final deadline. Also I went to my uncles house and filmed the POV shots from Jasmines perspective as she walks down the hotel lobby.
How does this fit in with the production schedule/job roles/overall ideas of the project?
We wanted to start filming on the Wednesday but couldn't because although our paperwork was done it was not uploaded on our blogs. This pulled us back in the schedule we wanted to stick by. However we had pulled through on the Thursday and did the whole chorus which was a good achievement for us due to the fact that we had missed a day of filming. The ideas are still sticking to plan and we haven't strayed away from our shooting script which is good. What we did this week outlined are job roles a lot more, because I am main camera man and editor it showed this week, because I went a filmed the shots in my uncles house by my self.
Were there any problems?
The only problem we faced was the fact that we could not film on that Wednesday, due to the fact that we did not have all of are paperwork uploaded onto are blogs.
How did you/will you overcome them?
We overcame this problem by shooting on the next day and made sure we completed all the shots in this specific location. We wanted all the studio shots to be done all at once because we didn't know when the studio will be next available. Also throughout the half term there will be no access to the studio.
What are the plans for the following week?
The following week is half term which is where the majority of our shooting will be done. We aim to get all the the footage completed by the end of next week ready for the new term to edit and complete the music video. Also to re-film any shots that we are not happy with

Permission To Film
In this piece of paper work we have to show proof that we are allowed to in the location that we have chosen.
Jasmine's room (My sisters room) / Hotel room (My mum and dads room) / Hall way My hall way in house) / living room (My living room in his house)
All of these locations are in my house. So because it is my family property we did not need permission to film here, because I live there are my family would not mind me filing in the house to produce a project for my final grade.

Hotel lobby(My uncles house)
The location we have chosen to film are hotel lobby scene in is my uncles house. Because it is my uncles house we did not need formal permission to film there. But i have asked him if it is ok out of good will and he said "Yes that is ok, take as long as you like"

Street (Ashburton Avenue)
The street we are using to filing some of are scene at is a street near to were I lives. This is a public place so we did not need any formal permission to film there.
School Studio
We are filing in the school studio to film are chorus in there. It is not a public place so we have to get permission from there teacher that is in charge of the school studio. This is Mr D, we found him after school on day and explained to him that we are filing a music video and need the school studio afters school on the 12-2-14. He said "Yeah that is fine, you can use it"
Hotel lift (School lift)
We are using the school lift to act as a hotel lift. The lifts in school are normally locked and the keys are normally held by the corridor ladies. So at lunch I asked miss Miss knight is we could have asses to one of the lifts in the school and she said "Ok yeah that is fine just remind to on the day you want the key and i will open it for you, no problem"

Job Roles and Responsibilities
In this Project their are the two main job roles and these are
Me and my partner both disused with each other and we both don't want to put full responsibility on each other to just do one particular job role. This is because we both felt as we both need to have input in each role in order to get the best possible grade in are music video. But if we had to give someone are more important job, we would make myself the main camera operator and editor, this is because I have had past media experience, so I understand how the cameras and editing software works just that little bit better than Jasmeet. And Jasmeet will take up the role of main director and production manager. This is because she is currently doing A2 drama, and has the experience in sorting out any problems in a group, and thing of ways to solve them. Also she has better management skills that I do, so she will be able to manage our time better, in term of filing and editing. But these role are just role that we both fell we can see the best in. These are not role that we just have to stick to. obviously Jasmeet will being doing part that my job involves such as filing certain shots and editing part in the music video, and I will be also looking at are time scale and seeing if we are going to meet the deadlines, and also I will be putting in ideas that might change the music video a bit. But overall we both will play a equal part in both roles, and will work together effectively, to produce and amazing final music video.

Week 3 Production Log
What have you contributed this week?
In this me and Jasmeet finally finished out shooting script, we ended up on 122 but this was after we showed are teacher. Before this we had 109 shots. Once we were happy in what we did, we showed our teacher, to see what he thought of it, and he told us what we could improve. We when went back to the computers and made these changers. After this I linked our shooting script, onto blogger. We also started with are production schedules, which was a plan on what shot we are going to film on each day. We also started with all of are paper work. This included are Risk assessment, which is now finished, also I printed of are waiver for our cast, which are cast need to fill out to show provides proof that they what to be part of our music video, they still need to sign this form. Also I printed of our call sheets which needs to be filled in each day we film.
How does this fit in with the production schedule/job roles/overall ideas of the project?
This week we just finished making our production schedule, so we did not need to follow a production log for this week. But we are up to date with all the work and have not falling behind on our class deadlines. This week me and Jasmeet sat down and discussed what are job roles will be. We decided that I will be main camera man and editor, due to have more experience that Jasmeet in both areas. Jasmeet will be the main director, due to the actually song be her original song, and she has a clearer and better image of what she wants the music video to look like than I do.
Were there any problems?
This week the only problem we faced what the fact that, after showing our teach out final shooting script, he made us make some changes to it, such as keep the chorus parts of the song either as performance or narrative and not switch from one to another, which we had now done. Also our teacher made us make minor changed to some of our shot types and angles, in order for it to make more sense to the audience. Also another problem we faced was the fact that we still did not know 100% where we were going to film our hotel scenes.
How did you/will you overcome them?
We over came our teachers feed back by making the changes to our shooting scripts, so it fitted in to what our teachers would prefer. And with regards to the hotel situation, we have tried to ring the hotel but we have had no answer. We are still ringing them and if they still don't answer, our teacher said he might be able to use his flat, which looks like a hotel, if the school allow the teacher to had students in his house. If the school say no we will have to go to our last option which is making the school reception our hotel reception, and my mum and dads room the hotel room.
What are the plans for the following week?
Next week we hope to get all of our paper work done, and then on the 11th/12th/13th we hope to start filming and get all of our chores shot done.

Week 2 Production Log
What have you contributed this week?
In this week we carried on with are shooting scripts. We had to think a head and know how we want are music video to look like, in terms on shot type/angle, and locations and how long we want the shot for. This is a very long and hard task which is they we only focused on the shooting script this whole week and nothing else. At the end of this week we have managed to do 75 shots, and still go left a whole chores and an outro.
How does this fit in with the production schedule/job roles/overall ideas of the project?
We have not yet made a production schedule due to the fact that we have been to focused on are shooting scripted. But we are not falling behind on any tasks and are where we want to be. As last week we have still not given roles to each other, but it still looks like I will be doing most of the filming, due to having more experience and also Jasmeet will be in some shots as well, so it makes sense if I do most of the filming. In term of overall ideas of the project, we are looking to start filming at my house on the 9th of Feb but this is not for certain. We also have a very clean overall project idea, and know how we want are music video to end up looking like, so we are focused on achieving that.
Were there any problems?
This week we did not have any major problems, because we are still just doing the shooting script. But one little problem we faced was that we where doing to have less than 100 shots by the end of the music video. This is a problem because a music video should have over 1000 shots in it, and because we where going to have less it could have effected are grade.
How did you/will you overcome them?
We over came the fact that we had few shots, by adding in an outro and the end of are music video. This will allow us to get another 15-20 shots, in are music video, which will make are number of shots get above 100.
What are the plans for the following week?
Next week we are hope to finish of are shooting script and making a proper shooting schedule, which tells us what we are going to film and each day.
